SaveBrett.net Hand Delivers Over 6,000 Petition Signatures to Green Bay Packers

After hearing news that Brett Favre is planning to report to Packers training camp we felt that presenting all of the petition signatures we collected on the bus tour just couldn't wait until next Monday as planned.

So we piled into the SaveBrett.net Mobile and headed from Chicago - where earlier in the day Tony Mars was interviewed by 97.9FM The Loop - to Lambeau Field.

At Lambeau, with three TV camera crews in tow Tony Mars and Adam Chartier presented over 6,000 petition signatures to the Green Bay Packers in support of Brett Favre returning as the starting quarterback in 2008.  As of this posting the number of signatures has climbed rapidly to 6,731 - a number that is steadily increasing by the hour.

It is now up to us - dedicated Green Bay Packer and Brett Favre fans - to put overwhelming pressure on the Packers front office to make sure that Brett resumes his rightful place as the starting quarterback in 2008.

The Favre family has done so much for our community. If Favre plays for the Pack, it means more money for the Pack, It means a winning season. Rodgers...he couldn't handle the heat of Family night. I will watch and cheer for Favre - even if he is dressed in Purple Viking clothing. Brett gave the best years of his career to us. I just don't understand why they have jerked him around. Did they force the retirement issue too? Ted needs to be fired ASAP. Bring back Ron Wolf, at least he had a heart. I sure hope Brett knows we are all behind him.
