I wouldn't sign this petition if you payed me! I am so tired of pro athletes retiring and coming back. They shouldn't have walked away in the first place if they still wanted to play. I say this being a Greenbay fan, and also used to be a Brett Favre fan. Athletes are acting like little kids in my mind. They should have to deal with the choices they make like I have to every day.
I still like Brett and think that he shouldn't have retired without first saying it's his last year. He was probably disappointed at the end of the season though. Who knows? You never know how someone else feels until you walk in their shoes.
So I say quit the squabbling and let him play as the starting QB for one last year. In the meantime, get another QB ready and put him in more often.

Other than Brett who has quarterbacked the packers for a complete game last year? If Rogers is hurt how many experienced quarterbacks do the Packers have on the roster? When has 13-3 record and one play away from going to the Super Bowl become a liability for a quarterback? What is lost if the Packers bring back the only experience quarterback vs. keeping 3 inexperienced quarterbacks on the roster? Is the salary cap the decision on having a chance to go the Super Bowl or having a real good chance for the number one draft choice this coming year?
In regards to "Gimme A Breaks" posting noted above: I would like to respond by asking you if you ever had to make a decision about retiring right after you came off a professional football season? I think these players should be given a chance to rest after their season, collect their thoughts and be able to make a clear-headed decision before getting trampled on by the press and who knows who else. Tony (above) said it right when he said, "You never know how it feels until you walk in their shoes."
