Billboard on U.S. 41 Donated to SaveBrett.net Movement

Yesterday a prominently placed billboard on U.S. 41 - the main highway between Green Bay and Appleton - went up carrying the SaveBrett.net message to all Packer fans living and traveling through one of Wisconsin's most densely populated metropolitan areas.

The donation - totaling over $3,000 - is the gift of one anonymous Green Bay company and Mike Anderson of the band Punk Floyd Project (a huge Packer fan from Waukesha, Wisconsin who is now living in North Carolina).  Volunteers of SaveBrett.net contributed $244 to the total cost of the sign.

THAT IS AN AWSOME BILLBOARD! DAMN PACKERS LET HIM COME BACK!!!

WOW...

It seems people are either passionately for Brett returning and claim it's time to move out of that era and go forward...

I guess I'm the one that still would like to see him play, but for the TWO YEARS left on his contract with no more retirement bullshit talk....

Love your pasion. We should fight like Brett Favre plays with heart and convinction!!!

Favre transformed me into a cheesehead Sept. 1992. He is the most prolific, iconic and exciting player to EVER grace the gridiron. He DESERVES to be in GB!

brett is the reason why i became and will always be a green bay packer fan there is nothing like seeing him play i was at the game in oakland after his dad died there is no way i will ever forget it. keep brett where he belongs where he has been welcomed and loved since 1992 when he became a packer dont let his legacy end in another uniform

Brett Favre is GB's saving grace. Without him, GB would not be what it is now. Brett draws crowds, and the new stadium may not have happened with out BF. A HOF QB, you would just look like 3 hardheaded idiots, in the front office. Who is the BEST QB, for the QB spot? You play the best player. And MM could use any help he can grt, because without BF's big year(2007), MM would most likely NOT have gotten a new LARGE contract, as did TT. Your jobs should be on the line. And who is this Murphy...What a geek......Worst Pres. I've seen in 45yrs.

You people dont get it do ya? Hes a hack and a mental case, just let him go.
Fire Ted Thompson and Murphy also the Coach McCarthy, we can do better than this.

CONGRATULATIONS! Common sense says that bringing Favre back to compete for the QB position is in the best interests of the team! Ask the fans in Buffalo, Miami, and Denver how well their teams have fared since the departures Kelly, Marino and Elway. Rogers has shown me nothing. Favre has a 16 years of success. Go with the proven commodity!

Give BF the respect he deserves. He and Reggie brought the team back. Let him continue the sucess.

I'm watching everything. We just conferred (we being myself, Curly and George S. Halas) about this turn of events and we do not like how this is playing out. While it took some coaxing, Paper Bear wants Brett to return as well -- in reality he always loved the Pack --he really thinks the Bears do SUCK and the Vikings too. "What the Hell is going on down there." Make things right Mr. Murphy, Mr. Thompson; I have friends up here that you do not want to cross. The Packer Nation is speaking loudly and with conviction on this subject. You can rectify all of your blunders, of the past, by letting Brett Favre come back and play for the Green and Gold. I've said enough on the subject -- do the right thing. Again, I'm watching!

This would have never happened under Bob Harlan's leadership. It would't have got out into the press in the first place.

He would have negotiated this quietly behind closed doors and a compromise would have occured treating Brett with respect.

Mark Murphy is supposed to be TT's boss but instead has ended up being TT's puppy dog.

People have to remember that 10 years from now nobody will remember Ted Thompson's or Mike Macarthy's name but number 4's name will be revered in packers lore forever.

I've been a packer fan since the fifties and now I say Good-Bye. I will return only when Murphy, Thompson, & Macarthy are gone.

Favre is trying to hold the team hostage and you clowns are all for it. You have no idea the problems it will cause if the players see another player who has quit on you have more power than the head coach and gm. You guys are a joke.

Brett is the only reason I watch the Packers. You just watch. Aaron Rodgers is gonna end up injured in no time, & the Packers will be sorry they didn't let Brett play as their starter. Brett has played for all these years without injury & still plays great football. The Packers are being idiots! Give US OUR Brett Favre back!!!!

August 2, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterBeth

BRING HIM BACK!

If the 'front office' thinks Aaron Rogers is going to give the Packers a Super Bowl victory before Favre, they're crazy.

BRING FAVRE BACK!

August 5, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMark S.

I can't believe they actually let you waste a perfectly clean billboard like that.

Please Tony, go back to Chicago.

August 6, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterJ-Man

For the ones saying 'Fire McCarthy'. He is the main reason why we had a successful year last year.

Get overyourselves people.

August 6, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterJ-Man

We should keep business....business....Brett is good for business!.....Who has out sold him in the NFL!!(Not to mention all the $ he has donated to Wisconsin!)

August 6, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDiane

So sad, you guys actually worship him don't you?

August 7, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterjawbp

wow you guys really must feel stupid for wasting all that time/effort/money.
